Yeah, it’s crazy how many different music projects she worked on from late 2016 through 2018. The ASIB soundtrack, early work on Chromatica, recording sessions for Love for Sale, and other sessions from which we got The Cure, Joanne piano version, etc.

If I’m not mistaken, I think she started working on it in 2017/18 with Bloodpop while on tour with the JWT. I feel like there’s an interview with either him or her talking about starting work on Chromatica during the tour. They might’ve discussed a song that was made during JWT too? I have vague memories of the interview.

Exactly! I think after the huge success of ASIB, she and her team/label were probably trying to play it safe with a safe, simple, catchy pop song for the lead single. Unfortunately Stupid Love was too safe to the point of becoming a dud. People know Gaga either for her huge, catchy pop songs or after ASIB for her amazing ballads. Stupid Love was neither and the music video wasn’t anything special either. I still like the song, but don’t love it. It shouldn’t have been the lead single.

Exactly, she just needs a good, big lead single. No stupid love or hold my hand type duds.

Sorry to ask since I know it’s been discussed before, but where can I find her us pop radio peaks since 2013?

I hope this goodwill from radio carries over into her next studio album era since radio is so important for charts and longevity on charts. It’s such a huge deal for her to have a solo top 10 pop radio hit! Pop radio has been very unsupportive since ARTPOP/2013. I think she does even better on HAC/AC radio when pop radio supports her as well.

If only it didn’t get held back because of Christmas….ugh

it’s bc RIAA used worldwide youtube views and then switched as they should have to use only US views a couple years later. It was too late after they certified certain songs already though. The same happened with Baby by Justin Bieber getting certified using ww yt view instead of us views.

Adele fans are saying this isn’t official and the real numbers aren’t out yet. I don’t know what to believe.

The way now would actually be a smart time to start pushing BM hard with radio already on board. Idc how it looks at this point. A music video, visualizer, EP, remix, whatever. The song is already platinum eligible, a cute top ten peak would be nice. A solo top ten song that’s already been on the charts for 12 weeks. It would be a nice little achievement to shut everyone up. The way a slayful remix and music video could help make the song last through the summer.

Nvm chartmasters has TFM stand-alone at the bottom of Gaga’s page for US pure sales and I didn’t see that.

someone said it best when they said we should stop giving the hate from margot, taylor, and beyonce fans attention, and focus on spreading and uplifting the positive comments instead. the movie isn’t out for a year and a half yet, and we’re already making enemies for when it comes out. instead ignore the haters and spread the positive comments and posts.
