It's remarkable that anyone thought Katy would debut well considering: she's never had acclaim, even at her peak she's not had a bone fide smash released for over 11 years her last album does not get talked about for just how badly it performed she didn't have demand to sell out her Las Vegas shows despite the back catalogue appeal ...but even I didn't think she could bomb this hard with a Dr Luke, high budget track that was designed to be as inoffensive and bland as possible while pandering to a pseudo-feminist and queer-sounding set of lyrics, effectively Roar 2.0. And God knows I've spent my time dragging her through the years! What a difference a decade makes.

Putting aside the fact Katy working with Dr Luke is a disastrous choice, I'm somewhat floored that the team that managed to generate pop music that soared as high as the singles from OOTB, TD and Prism put out this dud. It sounds like a lifeless Britney-esque track.
