    If they wanted to give her more awards cause she attended, at least they should have tried to made it a bit more believable. A new category like "Best New Paula Abdul" would have been more suitable in this case.

    I agree the fact that Roar won and not Paparazzi or Like A Virgin/Hollywood Is insane. Also the fact that even I'm A Slave 4 U (2001) wasn't nominated.....even more insane.

    Xtina stans need to stop posting that performance or the fact that She has been nominated too as if Madge didn't initially want Kylie Minogue and JLo to perform with her, Brit & Missy (JLo was also an afterthought because she was called AFTER Kylie backed out) but they refused to do it so MTV had to call Xtina. (And Pink lied about being considered for that performance and MTV's rep denied her being involved)

    This makes it even more ridiculous. And her performance was boring and as @ViviLittleM said, her vocals were pre-recorded and lipsynced (i didn't even watch It)

    I think She bought both the Vanguard award AND the nomination Most Iconic Performance....

    Like its honestly wild that her 2013 VMA performance won over Gaga's 2009 performance. And Who remembers that Roar performance? Exactly.

    And obviously Taylor winning all these awards really just made me realize that the VMAS are a joke now.

    Yep...But glad Xtina ended up doing It instead (But even tho i love X, i'd prefer it if Madge wouldve had Britney, Kylie and Missy with her on stage instead, like It was initially supposed to be... Kylie wouldve elevated It by 'light years'....Obviously JLo was approached after Kylie dropped out. The MTV execs confirmed that too.)

    I agree. I also think Paparazzi Is the best off the bunch.

    And as for that Madge 2003  performance... Yes, It Indeed Is iconic and legendary. Her and Brit killed It and danced their asses off!

    Fun fact: Do you know that Madge wanted JLo and Kylie at the 2003 vmas performance, not Xtina? While Britney was already the first option, Kylie couldnt do It bc she was busy (and she confirmed those rumors that she was supposed to be part of that performance in a radio interview) and JLo....she refused to do It and Xtina went instead.
