  1. Lady Gaga & Colby O'Donis "Just Dance" has now sold over 9.8M Copies (RIAA)
  2. And I totally agree with this, I think its amazing that we are more free to speak out against injustices as a society nowadays, but I also feel like a lot of people are just using this as an opportunity to be offended or hate on Gaga and Haus Labs. I'm not trying to invalidate people's emotions if this genuinely offends you and/or brings back traumatic memories, but what I am talking about is people who are just weaponising this mistake against Gaga and Haus Labs to prove their point.
  3. I totally understand what you're saying, but I've seen this for myself. A lot of people are getting offended because they like to have something to be offended over, or they just have a problem with gaga or Haus Labs. I know that people are genuinely offended and it brings traumatic memories back to them but a lot of people are just getting offended because they have some vendetta against gaga or Haus Labs. I'm not trying to invalidate anyones emotions, or make them feel like they are being overdramatic, because if this triggers you than you have the right to speak out, but a lot of people are just using this as an excuse to hate on Gaga, and be offended.
  4. I love Sam Smith. They are so open to their struggles and they are so, so talented. Love the accent too
  5. Thats not what I meant. I said that "I see why people are offended" but as we know people on twitter like to be offended. Most people would thing that its insensitive, especially considering the person who made the brand is open to her mental health issues and history of self harm, but a lot of people are just being offended because they like to be. If you go on twitter, people find problems with everything and just like being offended. It doesn't change that this was still insensitive though, so I agree with you there
  6. This is a very good list. Maybe it's me but My Everything by Ariana Grande is her worst album. It has no cohesion, and feels very radio hit oriented. A good playlist of hit songs, but lacks the cohesion that would make me feel like it is a good album
  7. Pure Heroine is such an amazing album. Lorde is from my country, she lives about 25 minutes away from where I live and her old school is also close. SAMAYAMA is such an amazing album, better than Rina to me and I'm so excited to hear her next album. Folklore is a mixed bag, I loved the 1, invisible string, betty, cardigan. I didn't really like exhile that much and I dont get why taylor is obsessed with having her song titles in all lowercase letters
  8. You're taste in music is so diverse. I thought reputation by taylor was a good album, but to me, the dark theme didn't really suit her and it came across as a bit forced and cringe. The album however was very good and I liked the cover. I find most of Beyonce's older albums more enjoyable than her newer ones.
  9. I see why people are offended but it seems to me like people like being outraged and offended by everything. As someone who has struggled with mental health issues I see how people found this problematic but it is being completely over exaggerated for something that had no ill intent. Twitter will find this extremely offensive as they do everything. It's good that we are in a time and age where we can speak against injustices, but getting overly offended just makes others not take you seriously when something serious actually happens
  10. That's amazing. Now she needs to focus on play listing and payola more. Rain On Me wasn't at the top of Today's Top Hits and playlists for very long before it was dropped. I hope for the next era, gaga's team focuses more on playlisting and having a lot of good quality merchandise to boost sales like limited vinyls and cds. Taylor's team was smart, they took the rule where you have to ship the merchandise for it to count as a sale and used it to their advantage, purposefully spreading shipments out for more weeks at #1. For example, if Gaga, instead of having 275k first week had 100k shipments first week under the new rules, then spread the remainder of the merchandise over a few weeks depending on how much needed to be shipped to get a number 1 she could have a 3 week #1 album, something she's never had. Taylor's team is doing this, and she has her third or fourth week at #1 with around 50k sales
  11. This would positively affect gaga right because radio is her weakest metric?
  12. 24K magic was such a huge album. Bruno Mars is such a hitmaker but his songs don't really stand the test of time. I never hear his hits from around 2010 anywhere as much as other artists such as Adele, Beyonce, Gaga, Katy. His last major hits in my country were in 2016 - 2017 where he was inescapable and huge.
  13. do you think billboard will change their regulations and make radio count less?
  14. I think it could. Ariana has a huge fanbase to support her, and they will mass buy her songs to get her to #1. Scooter will also have her at the top of major playlists She probably could if she pulled some Taylor level fraudulence but @corvus albus is probably right. It will peak at #2
  15. Yeah I saw that Tik Tok was certified 8x platinum. I was wondering where Empire State Of Mind was on RIAA. Because that was a huge hit, and it wasn't in the list of most certified songs. When do you think that Tik Tok will be certified diamond
  16. Wow. I never knew this. I saw everyone saying that Mood wouldn't be #1 without radio.
  17. It probably will. Ariana Grande is a powerhouse on the charts. Positions was #2 for so many weeks, and would've been #1 if Mood hadn't been spammed on the radio. Radio needs to weigh less on the charts. I hope 34+35 goes #1 and debuts at #1. If it does it'll be her sixth #1 debut. All her #1's are #1 debuts which is so cool.
  18. The crime of the decade. Bad Romance not going #1. What I would do to go back to 2010 and mass buy Bad Romance along with other fans. She won in the end, Bad Romance is 11x platinum, where is Tik Tok and Empire State Of Mind
  19. Anti-vaxxers take notes. No one wants to microchip you, you overestimate your worth to the government
  20. Red is such an amazing album, I was obsessed in 2012 when it came out. A lot of people hate Stay Stay Stay but it was one of my favs. Red, 22, WANEGBT and Everything Has Changed were my songs of Summer 2012. (Where I am summer is in December to February)
  21. I love Janet Jackson. My favourite album is The Velvet Rope, and my fav tracks are Free Xone, Velvet Rope and Go Deep. She has a pretty extensive discography so I'm still going through it. I found Butterfly to be a good album, but it lacks hip hop or pop beats that makes me like songs, although I love R&B
  22. Poker Face but weirdly Bad Romance is certified platinum more. Poker Face is 10x platinum, Bad Romance is 11x platinum. But on the charts, Born This Way (single) is gaga's longest running #1 and her first #1 debut and it weirdly did not stay in the top 10 as long as her other #1 hits though.
  23. If i'm being honest, I never really liked Paparazzi that much as a song. I love R&B inspired Gaga and I wish she'd do that more, but Born This Way is one of my favourite gaga songs ever, and coincidentally her longest running #1 hit, which also debuted at #1 in 2011
  24. Hi everyone, I'm wondering what you're favourite albums are, and generally what sort of music everyone's into. I'll start 1. My favourite album of all time is Born This Way obviously 2. Emotions Mariah Carey 3. The Fame Monster - Lady Gaga 4. Daydream - Mariah Carey 5. ARTPOP - Lady Gaga 6. Pink Friday - Nicki Minaj 7. Broke With Expensive Taste - Azealia Banks (i know i'll get hate for this but this album is amazing. I have to seperate the artist from the art in this instance) 8. E=MC2 - Mariah Carey 9. Hot Pink - Doja Cat 10. Chromatica - Lady Gaga
  25. I'm watching Scary Movie. I love this movie, and I have the TV Cut which has deleted scenes which really adds to the movie. Its so funny.
