did you know Mariah Carey got 3 #1 debuts by releasing a song to radio. For a song to chart back then, you had to have a physical cd released, so her team/label would delay releasing the CD, and just release it to radio. Then when it would have enough power to debut at #1 with the physical CDs being released, they would release it. She did this three times with Fantasy, One Sweet Day and Honey. Billboard got rid of this rule because people were abusing it, and a song never debuted at #1 for quite a while
