I am a fan of her and I think manic is the best album of the year besides Chromatica BUT I am not blind. It's true that it's one of the most streamed albums of 2020, but more than half of those streams come from Without Me. And now she did the fraudery by adding Be Kind, which has way more streams (and is growing faster) than any song on Manic (sans WM). In conclusion yes, it's nearing 2,5B but 1,5 come from two songs, one of which doesnt even have her as the lead artist. Truly an "Heaven & Hell outstreamed Chromatica teas"

They were supposed to release this album like 4 years ago with Cold Water as the lead iirc, so I assume they kept the title but the songs are not the same. For this reason it's not clear which of the songs will appear in this album, but I guess Oh MY Gawd and Lay Your Head On Me will be there. Anyways I am pretty excited for their new album (:

the problem (no pun intended) it's that there's no way to determine objectively when a song is a hit thanks to the feature or not. For example, are we gonna pretend Dark Horse was a hit because of Juicy J? or Just dance because of Colby O Donis? But I agree Ariana has benefited a lot from collabing with very relevant artists while he made herself a MPG, and then she cemented herself with solo smashes once she was already a massive artist.

I feel like her career will be like Lana's: still successful with tons of fans and a really devoted public, but unable to come close to the impact and success of her first era.
