I was skeptic too and I wasn't buying the fairy thingies (I was sure it meant something because her last posts give me pre-911 miniera teas but I was not sure I believed it was related to SC). But now she captioned a picture with lyrics of the song so there is no reason to be skeptic. Maybe what's coming is not what we'd like to see, but I feel like there's something SC related coming definitely in the next month.

I think at this point we've seen many artist have been successful at selling themselves as something they are not, because let's be honest, most of the public/listeners/Geepee/whatever you want to call it won't care enough to be bothered if the way an artist is selling themself is real. Some artists based their marketing on selling themselves as "queens" and borderline godly figures, and the public ended up buying the way they were presenting. Now some artists are trying to sell themselevs as authentics, and the public is eating it up too

Something fishy happened. Usually they count remix and original versions separately (caramelo is the first example that comes to mind, since both versions have been charting simultaneously for a long time), so I feel like this is the first week they combine both versions of a song. That tracking week the remix did 888k (#44) while the original version did 838k (#48). The remix has easily done more on YT and sold more since it was something new. The original would have won on radio, but the spanish chart doesnt counts it. So the remix was definitely the most successful version of the song here and now. It almost feels like they changed the rules for the weeknd to get ha top10 hit. ANYGAYS, luckily for us BL was released in 2019 so rain on me remains the ONLY anglophone song released in 2020 to go top10 in the chart.

tbh there's a middle ground between releasing multiple versions through release week depending on how the original song is performing and releasing remixes three months after the video/TV performance. I don't think most people here would have liked to see Gaga releasing two SL remixes on its release week.

well, she released the rehearsal audio for Me and like 10 physical versions for the single, which definitely is trying. As for YNTCD I don't think she did anything else, so maybe the gap was indeed huge.
