The way I'm having absolutely no fun tracking Blood Mary. Heck, Hold My Hand was more fun. Watching HMH stabilize on Spotify to the point they put it on TTH playlist, that was a moment. Hopefully its gets a second wind from the Oscars and we can track that. Blood Mary on the other hand, it should have stayed a cute viral moment. Tracking its radio playlisting and callout scores is kind of ruining it for me. Don't get me wrong, I love that its causing a renaissance(lol) for Born this Way as an era and an album, but I'd rather not get worked up if the song struggles on radio or starts decreasing on Spotify. This is supposed to be gravy, not a main course single.

I feel like we've done this before. Like, one day Rain on Me would be on sub-power rotation, the next day it would only get played a few times in the early morning, late evening. And then people would meltdown about it, than the next day it would be back on sub-power rotation. That wasn't fun then and its not going to fun now

It appears they have an 800 person survey divided into 4 separate regions of the United States and thats how they measure burn rate/net positivity/recognition. Not sure how I feel about that but at least they have a clear methodology.

Just a note, this isn't a Mediabase survey. I forget who these go to, but I remember being pretty upset when I found out my weekly routine of filling these out weren't helping Rain on Me's callout scores that were getting Gaga dragged on stan Twitter. Edit: not saying to ignore these. Fill them out, every bit helps. All radio surveys are important.

I'd imagine it's suffering from low recognition which would effect its score. The fact that we don't have access to the breakdowns anymore is just depressing.

Also, is she really about to do the Super Bowl with no new music!? Thats such a huge opportunity to promote a new single. I could see her performing Lift Me Up but that would be such a weird moment. Gaga made Million Reasons work because of the glow sticks and the piano, not sure what Rihanna would do to make Lift Me Up work.

HBO Max bought the rights to Lizzo's concert and it seems like they did a good job with that. That said, I wouldn't scoff at Disney+. They wouldn't buy the rights if they didn't think it would be successful on their own platform.
