  7. I love Empire State of Mind, Pt. II ... the Alicia Keys solo version? This reminds me of that. I didn't know this, but let's dedicate this week to the Great @Doot 4 MINUTES IS SUCH A BOP YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Giving me very 2000s Eurovision Dance Club Scene. Far from my favorite genre, but I can see myself bopping to this! WTF I NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE ?!?!?!? I LOVE IT GYPSY TOP 2 FROM ARTPOP Awn, I know that feeling. I miss it so much too. I LOVE All Night, the main single from that album. I feel like I'm missing something from not stanning Ava Max. Maybe she is really that upcoming girl. I just feel like she's very H&M, but not the good kind. She keeps playing at my job and I might dislike her because of that.
  8. Welcome to the Song of the Week thread Every Monday, I will create a thread for us to spill and share the new (or old) song we discovered (or re-discovred) and can't stop streaming. This is the third official week of 2021, and let's get right into it. Why do you like it? How did you discovered it? For example: My song of the week is, once again, two songs. But I Want by Young Thug and Butterfly by Grimes. I randomly discovered But I Want while exploring Young Thug's spotify profile page, and just loved the instrumental. It's very cheesy and 2011, but I love it. It makes me feel empowered. Embarassing, but a bop. As for Butterfly, I was listening like crazy to all Grimes albums after lacking inspiration, and she literally enlightened me with Visions and Art Angels. I was so inspired and moved by Butterfly that I couldn't stop streaming it on repeat, blasting my headphones with the amazing bass, vocal and synths. ...and you, what's your song of the week?
  9. I remember when this was a bop. I was in 9th grade I think. "Bright" is also a very good one.

  14. 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝕷𝖔𝖗𝖉𝖊 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, aka Lorde, was born on November 7th, 1996 in the suburbs of Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand. Starting May 2009, Lorde and her friend Louis McDonald started as a musical duo during school contests and performed at small venues across Auckland. Around 2010, she got acknowledge by UMG's executive Scott Maclachlan after McDonald's father sent covers by the duo to Maclachlan. He subsequently signed her to UGM for further development. She then began writing songs on her own and recording them. In November 2012, Lorde self-released The Love Club EP on SoundCloud, which gathered 60,000 downloads. The EP featured Royals, and after commercial submission during the summer of 2013, at 16, she was the youngest artist then to score a number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 since 1987, which has since been certified Diamond by the RIAA. Lorde released Pure Heroine, her debut album, in September 2013 to critical acclaim, debuting with 129,000 copies. 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐮𝐦𝐬 𝐄𝐏𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 ♡
  15. She's amazing. I knew her from 2017 with RINA and I was scared she might never get the fame and acknowledge from the public she deserved, but I'm so glad she's getting the recognition right now. I truly hope she gets a Lizzo/Billie moment very soon. I'm going to see her live in October 2021, and I'm so excited.
