#3 (=) Folklore 01-03-01-01-02-01-03-03-03-03- (9 weeks)vs Chromatica
UK (first 9 weeks) 01-01-02-03-06-08-14-25-28
Ireland (first 9 weeks) 01-01-05-06-08-12-19-30-40
the way Taylor is stomping on us in term of longevity And she doesn't have a smash hit a la ROM, no VMA performance and no new MV The GP is clearly not here for a Gaga album with a Chromatica sound in 2020 anyway I'm afraid only her old fans and the pop culture stans love the dance/EDM sound with Gaga but the GP is saying NO
And the COVID excuse doesn't work cause Taylor didn't promote the album either
Please this is not an hate comment about Gaga, I'm just trying to be unbiased but we have to admit that the performance of Chromatica is disappointing if we talk about longevity.
the liddos really shot theirselves in the foot when they decided to go in full-battle with the swifties.. Taylor might be struggling to score a hit song nowadays but the girl can sell an album through and through

911 is showing the signs of going nowhere.. i'll give it a week or two and call it hopeless
but then again, Post Album Singles rarely smash nowadays.. everything is just a bonus
however, i want FUN TONIGHT to be radio single so bad

Does the ACR rule apply for albums as well?
Because #70 last week is
the album has been free-falling since 7th week and singles' streams are useless in the UK and some other parts of Europe

If they do SPS for albums, then they can't do SPS for singles and in contrary. It'd be double-counted and heavily inflated.
it's double count if you add the values but it's a separate chart so i don't see the problem..
All charts from each country are using the SPS System both in albums and singles.. their rules i guess

IFPI will always use pure sales (shipments) for albums and SPS for singles. You don't have to worry about that. Gaga is at +300k pure sales in the US and probably +700k worldwide with shipments so far.
who knows?? they've changed their Singles YE List from pure sales to SPS last 2015?
maybe they'll finally use the SPS for albums starting on 2020..

Chromatica will likely appear in IIFPI top 10 best selling album of the year.
if IFPI will still use Pure Sales only, YUP.. but we need to cross that 1M Pure Sales mark... c'mon Gagz.. release vinyl cover or super deluxe version.. let's boost the pure sales dep

2009 The Fame Monster Lady Gaga 2.18 18 November 2009 [188] i noticed that Rihanna lost the record to Kanye for 2007's most streamed album.. what's 2009's nearest competition? BEP's The End?
-
just visited Rihanna's wikipage.. the super-inflation in Global Album Sales
same thing with Lana Del Rey.. but i guess they're using SPS
meanwhile, there's a lot of Police in Gaga's discog wikipage

i think UK's Cert System is Pure Sales (pre-2016) + SPS (post 2016).. meaning streams and digital sales pre-SPS System are not counted unlike RIAA
