  1. I’m so glad they changed it. My fiancé and I thought that the “I am fair” was super dramatic and cringey in the trailer with the overdramatic tea cup hit, loved the way she just let it roll off her tongue in the movie. Movie scene was more natural than the trailer IMO

  3. ….”United Artists Releasing and MGM's House of Gucci was off to a nice third place start this weekend with estimated three-day weekend and five-day holiday grosses of $14.23 million and $21.83 million. The Ridley Scott directed crime drama starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver and also featuring Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek and Al Pacino, was no doubt driven this weekend in large part by Lady Gaga's presence and her loyal fanbase. While what is and what isn't a drama can be argumentative, the consensus feeling is that House of Gucci easily delivered the largest opening of 2021 for a more traditional drama, as dramas and films aimed at older moviegoers have struggled in general since re-opening. Critical reviews for House of Gucci have been mixed (albeit more positive than negative), but House of Gucci proved to be critic-proof this weekend and also looks to be going over significantly better with audiences than with critics after receiving solid B+ rating on CinemaScore (as well as currently boasting an 85 percent Verified Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes). The film's estimated five-day to three-day weekend ratio of 1.53 to 1 is also respectable when factoring in the rush-out of Lady Gaga's fanbase. The audience breakdown for House of Gucci skewed 59 percent female and 41 percent male. The film did well with older moviegoers (especially in the current environment), as 34 percent of the film's audience was over the age of 45. Internationally (where the film is being handled by Universal in most markets and by MGM in others), House of Gucci started out with an estimated $12.8 million from 40 markets. Through Sunday, respective totals for House of Gucci stand at $12.9 million internationally and $34.7 million globally. Estimated international debuts for House of Gucci this weekend included $3.42 million in the United Kingdom, $1.85 million in France, $0.98 million in Mexico, $0.80 million in Spain, $0.63 million in the Netherlands, $0.63 million in Ukraine and $0.48 million in Brazil. This coming week House of Gucci will open in Germany and Russia on Thursday”

  8. “Meanwhile, the latest from Ridley Scott earned far more than diddly-squat. “House of Gucci” took in $5.73 million on Friday from 3,477 locations. The sprawling crime drama is projected to earn $21.8 million over the five-day holiday weekend. Releases aimed at older viewers have struggled during this recent period of box office regrowth. As pandemic restrictions have become more alleviated, the ticket buyers most eager to return to movie theaters have trended younger. However, the same story can’t be said of “House of Gucci,” as the MGM release’s performance cements the box office appeal of Lady Gaga, three years after the resounding success of her 2018 vehicle “A Star Is Born.” Starring Gaga and Adam Driver as Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci, “House of Gucci” chronicles the years leading up to Reggiani’s assassination plot against the Gucci heir. Though the film has received mixed reviews, Variety‘s Owen Gleiberman called it “an icepick docudrama that has a great deal of fun with its grand roster of ambitious scoundrels” and “never less than a straight-faced and nimbly accomplished movie.”
  9. It’s also funny because most audience members agree with me…5/10 isn’t good and definitely not a good score, regardless of what critics say, 5/10 is what most people feel walking out of the theatre. My fiancé was very excited for Spencer and he was extremely disappointed by everything other than Kristen Stewart’s performance which was great and I think everyone agrees about that. Again, it has an incredibly low audience score for a reason. To each their own but I just haven’t heard of many people who left the theatre happy seeing Spencer. A lot of people I know left disappointed but I’m glad @0707alp enjoyed! I wish I liked the movie but I did not enjoy Spencer at all.
  10. RT 61 (+1) Reviews - 184 (+5) To each their own but I can’t actually believe anyone thought Spencer was more interesting than HOG…Spencer was so f-ing boring I’m not surprised the audience score for Spencer is terrible and made no money edit: wait Spencer has a 50 on RT Audience Score….the accuracy
  11. Nice to see The Fame above 1.8B and The Fame Monster above 1.5B Edit: Joanne coming for 1.3B soon
