I was still closeted when BTW came out but it was my first moment being a Gaga fan during a new album era so I was so pumped and excited. I remember her tweet hyping the song on New Years and I was counting down the days I woke up at 3am to listen to this song on the radio. I remember playing the whole all day while on school and just crying my heart out once I got home. Finally hearing a song that felt like it was for me. Thank you Gaga for helping a closeted little gay like myself feel important and loved by the mainstream….thank you for helping me come to terms with who I was and accepting myself.
