  9. This is why I’m holding out hope that HMH can have some pretty decent steaming numbers through the year!!! Surely there will be some sort of boost/new found exposure to audiences once it goes to streaming. And like you said, will also be good for award chances to get that boost later on during the campaign! Being a front runner like HMH is also going to really benefit it, look at NTTD, it was the front runner and was able to hold off completion from Beyoncé and Disney, which is not easy. We need HMH to maintain this status going into the fall.

  11. I gave it a 3.5/5 on letterbox, was definitely too long and Tom Hanks’s character was…interesting but Austin Butler was incredible!!!! I can definitely see him getting nominated since Warner doesn’t have much more on their plate. Costume design and production were what you would expect from Baz (aka great) but I also thought it was weird how the story was told in general from the managers POV instead of Elvis’s which is why I rated it lower. Doja’s song was used very briefly, Kaceys cover was used during a love scene with Elvis and Priscilla, the first end credits song was just an Elvis track. I forget which one. I don’t remember what the 3rd credit song was (yes they were so long there were 3 credit songs) The soundtrack itself is way more interesting than the way it’s used in the movie if I’m being honest. Was expecting more on the musical side of things if I’m being honest. Hopefully the Whitney picture follows suit and we don’t need to worry about an original song from it
  12. My fiancé and I saw Elvis yesterday and we wanted to hear the Eminem song but didn’t stay in the credits long enough lol…..imagine if that was HMH, our meltdowns would be epic. instead our song is used to compose the score of the film and present throughout. Love it edit: the Kacey cover of CHFIL was definitely the best moment musically for the new songs/covers
  13. @Adarsh are we sure Eminem’s song for Elvis will be eligible? I’m pretty sure it samples “Jailhouse Rock” and wouldn’t that make it ineligible, possibly? Also that song isn’t even in the movie, it’s the SECOND end credit song, I don’t think we have to worry about it in the long run even if it were to get nominated
  14. As an American (and honestly just as a general…I don’t know…human f-ing being) it’s DISGUSTING to use school shootings as a way to drag someone and their fans. Absolutely sick and that member should be banned immediately. Like wtf.
  15. Great news for Gaga’s Oscar chances, TGM is a critical and commercial SMASH
  16. The Hive really are just like us constantly blaming an incompetent team for not helping their artist adapt to the new age when most likely Beyoncé and Gaga don’t give a f- because they’re so iconic and legendary
