Curiously enough, that account that posted the viral video, also posted the same thing (except it was just her at her home singing that part of the song) a few months back with 2,7M likes, but it seems Roar didn't gain from it on Spotify? I'm sure that labels pay important creators to make videos using the songs or, at least, incite them to make videos. Drake sent Toosie Slide to some TikTokers before the official release so that they could make a dance to it.

Virality on TikTok is not necessarily always reflected on the number of TikToks tho, as it was just proven by Roar. Roar doesn't have a trend behind it, yet it has been getting peaks on streaming. A very viral video like Roar's can give you a cute boost, but it won't last and it definitely won't be very big gains. Applause has a current trend, that has almost tripled its normal streams, and it keeps on increasing with no signs of slowing down yet. @danwasd Roar has more playlisting than Applause because Katy Perry was a Spotify darling before the Witness fiasco, and the song is arguably her most successful one to date. In fact, I think it's playlist reach is quite low for such a huge hit me thinks. Applause on the other hand, was not a very successful single overall, and Gaga was literal streaming poson during ARTPOP and Joanne. I guess that's the reason why of their playlist reach.

Y'all LOVE to be pressed my god. Applause has a possibility of peaking somewhere around 600K - 700K streams if everything goes as expected from doing 170K streams on average and y'all are always discrediting it by looking at whatever else is also having some success, Roar in this case. N-E-ways Applause is viral on TikTok, not Bloody Mary levels of viral, but viral nonetheless, with videos that have reached almost 4M likes and plenty of room for it to grow. For more details, please see below:

Roar is gaining in streams because of a very viral video with 4,4M likes released 2 days ago. Applause has a whole trend behind it supporting the song. Weβll see very soon if Roar can catch a cute trend on TikTok or not, but if it doesnβt, I see Applause surpassing it. In fact, I donβt think Roar will be having more peaks at the end of next week. But this is just my prediction.

Also, if you want to have a playlist with all the trending songs Gaga currently has or past trending songs, I made a playlist. I keep it regularly updated, the most popular songs at the moment are always at the top. The fact that it also has 39 likes Baity titles for the win I guess . Plus it has a nice cover

Regarding Applause on TikTok. I think itβs pointless to track all the sounds that I have seen because most of them donβt even surpass 200 videos. It just wonβt be very representative of the EDIT trend of Applause, because there are a lot of sounds that are being used and none of them are REALLY THAT popular to have a clear picture of how big the trend is. Edit trend total: 55.590 videos* *The number of videos are inflated because of a sound that already had 40K videos before the trend, it did around 15K videos since the Applause trend (approximately). BUT, I found that there might be a new trend using Applause. Some sounds that come from edits using Applause has derived to a new trend. Itβs very recent and it has yet to explode, but thereβs a possibility it might happen in the near future, mainly because there are a few semi viral videos already. Idk how to explain this trend so itβs better to see it with your own eyes lol. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMFKMkbAL/ Total of the trend: 17.494 videos* *The number of videos is inflated because one of the previos sounds already had around 7K videos before this trend appeared. Around 10K videos were made recently. There are only 2 sounds as of now. Official uploads: 12.290 videos Total (estimate): 85.374 videos

Bloody Mary, after this update inside the Top 50 WW Spotify Playlist, has become Gagaβs 3rd longest running song inside the Top 50 WW Playlist on the platform: Shallow: 430 days (peak: #2) Rain On Me: 136 days (peak: #1) Bloody Mary: 30 days (peak: #24) (+1) Always Remember Us This Way: 29 days (peak: #33) (-1) Sour Candy: 28 days (peak: #2) Stupid Love: 27 days (peak: #6) Letβs see how long it can last inside the Top 50, letβs hope it can outlast ROM, that would be a slay!

Of course Lana debuted with good numbers, she's Lana Del Rey. But it quickly dropped in consumption from the Spotify charts. What I mean is that you would think that, because she gained quite a few trends on TikTok lately, she would have it easier to catch one for her latest releases or, at least, have some kind of longevity in terms of consumption. I'm not talking about doing 3M streams daily, I'm talking about stability in consumption, arguably the best thing a song can aspire to have.

Yeah, like look at Lana del Rey. Her catalogue has experienced a big boost because of TikTok trends, yet her latest single hasn't made as much noise as her trends. The positive thing about this I think is that Gaga seems to be a more appreciated artist, which could lead to more attention to her new singles in forms of trends if they click with this audience.
