I mean… I’d call it a win if we can do Smile numbers with L4S with all the things considered. It’s still a jazz album, no original songs… Awards are if anything the best thing we can get out of this (as well as some of the projects like the 60 minutes interview or the doc, which I’m actually looking forward too).

Yeah, the fanbase is not happy with how things have been handled and this is their response. I don’t even think the problem comes from Chromatica, I think it comes from way before. Summary: ARTPOP - Abruptly ended era. Not Gaga’s fault. Had potential, but nope. ARTPOP Act 2 - Very hyped but cancelled Original LG5 - Hyped but cancelled Joanne - Sound didn’t connect with some LM. Only 2 singles. Only 1/4 videos of the era are praised within the fanbase overall, and some don’t even like that. Lots of moments and promo. LM more or less satisfied with the era. ASIB - Nothing happened except for the movie. There was room for more but again the era ended abruptly. LM were a little bit disappointed with the era overall (in terms of satisfaction with the era). ~Unnecesary time waiting for LG6 only to be thrown Haus Labs at our face~ Chromatica - Highly disappointing era. Just 3 MVs. REVIVAL FOR ARTPOP ACT 2, FANS ARE FINALLY EXCITED FOR SOMETHING. Gaga writes 2 tweets and crickets. Another disappointment (if she should release it or not is another question, I’m talking about the fanbase satisfaction). BTW 10th anniversary - Nothing new and the era literally dies right when it started. Not what the fanbase would have wanted for the 10th anniversary of such a loved album within the fanbase. ~Unncessary time waiting for a remix album~ DoC - No “era” at all. She didn’t even change her pfp on social media. And now, a few posts here and there for other companies later, we have L4S, a jazz album… we should have seen this coming. Gaga should really consider trying to connect with us again. And I agree with @Andreu, this can be concerning for future releases. If not even your fans are giving it a try, why would a casual listener?

There are lots of things failing here: Very very light support from LM (just look at the views on YT). This is the main problem. We are not a dedicated fanbase and these things happen. Jazz is not mainstream (GP not interested). Jazz is a very small market. This affect both streaming and pure sales. Pure sales have decreased a lot + new method by Billboard. In conclusion, L4S is f-ed. Take this project as an appetizer for HoG, a project with hype and let’s close this chapter.
