This is normal behavior tho. YouTube freezes the views at the beginning always. Then they update it little by little until they filter the views.

The fact that when I first heard the song, it wasn't what I was expecting and I felt like I was underwhelmed... The chorus and the intro were the things that I disliked, and now I've learnt to appreciate them. It is definitely a grower for me.
