Not really. Since the song is (extremely) stable or having very small increases on Spotify, I haven't paid too much attention to it. I've only been checking the most popular sound, which has 58k videos (and gaining around 2k videos a day? I don't know exactly). The trends have probably surpassed 100k videos in total. I will do an update later.

Are you looking at the official upload or at an unofficial one. Because I've been looking at the official one and there's barely 4 videos that were recent, and I scrolled down quite a little. Can't we just agree that Taylor's numbers are phenomenal and move on? Like, we know she's a streaming giant... Also, I love how Taylor's "album tracks" that are being compared all of them were / are viral on TikTok... It has happened, for the first time, the GH sound (remixed version) has appeared on my for you page. It was a sound that I wasn't tracking and that has 32k videos with a lot of viral videos (above 1M likes). Too bad it's not listed as Government Hooker by Lady Gaga so people don't know it's that song :(

I can't wait for tomorrow's update for Beyoncé, let's hope Spotify doesn't meditate this time around

Those numbers are subscribed users. In total, the platform has 400M+ users. But yeah, the number of users of Spotify has increased since 2020.

So are we going to ignore that the fans that streamed the song had 20 of their streams count towards the chart vs. 10 streams for SL? Let's wait for the unfiltered streams. The difference between SL and BMS is not that high. Very similar debuts.

All this talk about Gaga being acclaimed just made me thought how she used to be a very vanguardist artist during her beginnings. I think Gaga is at her prime when she chooses this direction imo. She doesn't have to work with "pots and pans" producers like Arca (tho I think it's a good option), they can be underground EDM producers if she feels like it, or with a totally different direction, but her doing the unexpected and bringing experimental/underground, fresh and exciting sounds has been her thing for a while, why not bring it back? I don't think having a 90+ score on metacritic is as impactful as being attributed with changing the sound of the entire pop landscape and inspiring thousands of artists. But again, she'll do what she thinks is right and we'll have to accept it whether we like it or not.
