Bloody Mary TikTok: 1M likes / 4M views in 18 hours Gaga’s TikTok followers: 8,2M (+100K) To be honest, Gaga’s latest videos were doing MID(nights) numbers the first 24h and then gained quite a few more likes than expected. For example, I remember the TikTok using the Big Energy audio in its 24h did around 700K likes and quite low views and, as of now, it has 1,3M likes and 9,7M views, so maybe this one will be a grower not a shower too

Let's hope there are more parts from Bloody Mary used on TikTok, that's a good way to keep its "virality" revitalized and not dependent on just one trend.

He meant when the sound hit 1M, not the overall number adding all the videos. When a sound has 1.176.098 videos for example, TikTok will only show the sound has 1,1M videos. This way we lose quite a lot of data, that's why he said it can't be tracked.

If there are any news about playlists, it will be this Friday. Mockingbird and Die For You not getting into playlists like Hot Hits and TTH... kind of makes me expect we won't see BM there. But, who knows at this point? It's also worth noting that Melanie's team treated Play Date like a single WW. Sent to radio, there were even plans on releasing a music video... They were serios about it. I know The Weeknd's song has been sent to radio in the US but I don't know about the rest of the world.

No, I don't think so, it was rising in streams everyday, it entered on a Sunday, so it was growing throughout the week until the day it got added to TTH.

Ok, sorry for being late. This is the info that I found regarding Melanie's Play Date viral phenomenon. Play Date had around 63M streams on Spotify before it became viral on TikTok. 2 years and a half later, the song now has 643.666.994 streams. The trend started around the 21st of April (Tuesday) and it took 5 days (Sunday) to make its debut on the Spotify 200 chart, at #149 (669.162 streams). The song was added to TTH the 1st of May. The trend was 2 weeks old. That same day, the song was #67 with 1.298.771 streams. I don't know how much it lasted tho. It peaked at #27 with 1.996.619 streams. Around November of 2020, the song fell off the Top 200, so it stayed around 7 months on the chart. This Friday, the song received +300K streams.

Vocational training (I believe that’s how you say it in English, studies that last for 2 years) on Marketing and Advertisement. The thing is, that final project, doesn’t have a specific theme, it just needs to be related to the subjects we’ve studied. Mine was related to the music consumption since the first appearance of vinyls until today, as well as future predictions for the music market. In the project, I had to talk about lots of different things, but one of them was the impact of social media (specifically TikTok) in today’s music landscape (both music consumption and the structure of songs “made to become hits” on TikTok). Oh wow the essay . Btw, I’m now remembering that I had trouble including all the info I wanted to put in the project and I might’ve not included some things about the trend So I’ll search for it a bit, because I have the basics.

Well, given the reactions, I’ll make an update about everything I researched about Play Date, let’s hope I didn’t erase the data and I kept it somewhere
