Her streaming numbers are ok, in-line with Gaga and Beyonce, for instance. But it is more backloaded and she has been basically forgotten since Witness. You're right for sure, Bey and Gaga have both re-peaked over the same time period. Even if not re-peaks; they've been relevant among locals, praised by their fans and critically acclaimed. Wait, let's not do this cause I don't want to compare LG7's lead to inflated numbers from Stupid Love, like we don't need that stress. 100%. She has a lot more respect on her name and until that goes away she'll punch above her actual numbers (which are good, but not amazing). There's also no way to easily quantify taste and talent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I also feel like it's really odd. I WANT the rumor to be true and the evidence does make sense, but it's certainly ODD. I have no idea what typically happens at Olympics and tbh I've never heard anyone mention the closing ceremonies of the Olympics before - I didn't even know it was a spectacle. I wondered that too.

I want Katy to succeed, I really do. But I think the snippet sounds bad, the title is bad and the lead photo is bad. I dunno, it just feels like a massive misstep. But, I'm often wrong. She did release some great songs no one cared about, so the pivot makes sense. They're def trying to build momentum before the singles release, but I hope they're also moving for Gaga in a week

I was at the LA show and we were def singing. They def did not include it intentionally, but it was weird to have it so low when they show her asking the crowd to sing. I wonder if they didn’t grab it well enough. Or maybe we were flops, who knows!

One thing to clarify here is that The Weeknd didn't do a Fortnite concert like pretty much everyone else who has gotten official Fortnite skins / events (within proper Fortnite, not just Festival). Gaga has only been announced (aka leaked by herself) for the Fortnite Festival (Guitar Hero side game within the larger game), but is clearly also getting skins and an event within official Fortnite too (the event being a series of quests you do while playing to get Gaga cosmetics). I think her being added to the main game with emotes/songs plus having a bunch of songs added to Festival will have a minor boost in her streams, but it'll definitely help expand her reach before her new era(s). I'm hoping she does a concert, which will have a larger impact if she does it along with new music (and honestly, why on Earth would she do it without new music). The concert is the real get and would make a lot of sense leading into LG7. Also worth noting, Ari did her concert pretty randomly without promoting any new music.

I don't really think we'll get a concert then, if we get one, because that's when Ari drops, so if we get one, it'll come (I assume), later.

The post above captures it well, but yeah, there COULD definitely be a concert that comes in proper Fortnite, but I just CANNOT imagine her doing that without having a new single to play. So it could happen, for sure. Her getting added into Fortnite proper (and Festival) is already huge and I think it's likely a concert with LG7 promo is planned. 🤡
