because she needed to have something out for the european markets. Kings & Queens expoloded way earlier and has been out of the charts since maybe September or October, and Who's Laughing Now unfortunately tanked in most countries (even tho it's one of the best pop singles of last year imo), so she could simply not afford to spend 6 months with no new singles.

I think in the end, she will be more successful than Dua in the US.

I think she's a contender to be one, if she follows the right path but I think it's too soon to tell as of now, since she has barely released her debut album and there are plenty of artists who had a very successful era and then were nowhere to be seen.
