Fun fact...

Paparazzi (#4)

Alejandro (#7)

Born This Way (#3)

Judas (#8)

TEOG (#6)

Applause (#5)

Stupid Love (#5)

All of these songs would be #1 in the UK last week with their peak sales on the chart.

Those numbers were before ACR was implemented. Not really a fair comparison.

Yeah but most of these (except SL) were during the digital sales era and comparing digital to streaming cannot be done 1 to 1.

But single #1 last week in the UK isn't on ACR, just like all these songs. Furthermore, no other song on ACR had enough sales to be #1 last week in the UK even putting them in the SCR formula again, so the #1 single would remain the same, so, yes, the comparison is totally fair. :awkney:

Also I did not see this shared here so I am sharing this.

https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/9511182/olivia-rodrigo-spotify-hit-success/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

There is an interview with a Spotify playlist curator and in it she talks about how Spotify themselves adjust playlist positions and the push was not from Olivia's team. So this makes me wonder just how Spotify playlist curation works.
