A Popster Is Born 12,829

Back in the day stans put a lot on Mediatrafiic. At one point ARTPOP was ahead of Bangerz, but could never cross 2m for some reason :billie: Then around the same time in March '14 Gaga announced that 2.5m copies of ARTPOP had been sold (which she did eventually) and stans acted as if she had said something like witness sold 3m. A 21 page thread about it on ATRL... Well now no one uses MadonnaTraffic so!

But you were literally talking about positions on BBH100 :mess: and billboard gives more weight to paid streams which is fair.

What is not fair here, is allowing to release 1000 Remixes of a song and count them all as one :stopga:

I was talking about the formula Billboard uses to calculate the chart positions and that they should change the formula.

In my opinion the song that sells the most units in a week should be #1.

Willow moved 259.000 units and AIWFCIY moved 280.000 units (and has more airplay), yet Willow went #1.

Shouldn't RIAA be the one that should change the formula?

Also, do the sales # on the Digital Songs chart take into account CMA? I can't remember.

They did, on the digital charts Taylor sold 46K and in the end she sold 59K with willow

Youtube

33. (+1) Lady Gaga 10.247B views (5.247M daily views)

34 (-1) Pitbull 10.245B views (2.453M daily views)

Lady Gaga has finally surpassed Pitbull on Youtube. Next victim : One Direction with 10.270B views (3.63M daily views).

But the Hot 100 still counts the tracks that have been converted to albums?

But when it comes to billboard's formula which is for charts purposes, it's alright the way it is with the streaming and sales ratio.  Although radio should be weighted less, it has nothing to do with how much units a song got in a week. And as I already said, it's fair when paid streams give you more points than free ones. You're still talking about RIAA's units that consider all streams equal.

Lady Gaga-curated Together at Home concert set two Guiness World Records: for most musical acts to perform at a remote music festival (72) and most money raised for charity by a remote music festival ($128 million).

A legend I fear

I believe fad is at +10B total streams on Spotify and this year she earned 3B so i guess its safe to say she has a shot to enter to the top 20 next year if she plays her cards right aka collabs with adele and bad bunny :ohhh:
