Ariana benefitted a lot of the  weak competition tbh. It's a very successful song reagrdless, but if it were released at some other point, it wouldn't be a 5-week-long-chart-topper.

It is simply because GODGA is more GLOBAL 

But its not fair that the song is that long #1 and ROM only snagged a week. ROM felt much bigger here.

I guess Bangerz era really destroyed her on GP eyes . She managed to get a huge era but after the shock value ended , the GP turned her for good. Its like what happened to Gaga , but thanks god Gaga is amazing talented but also she had 2 Superbowls, 3 Oscar performances and countless Tributes. Miley is also talented and she must show her talent to the GP if she wants to have any success in the future.
