I have updated the Guidelines here. Please take a look as I open this thread back up. I am going to give a pass to the fighting that happened earlier, but will consider everyone to have been warned and ready to receive points moving forward. We do not want people to attack one another, incite more fighting or to continuously drag artists. You don't have to agree with everyone. Who flops, who succeeds and everything the middle is subjective. None of us have all the numbers either. Some

Pop Smoke's massive mainstream success this year is so bizarre to me, the fact it came exclusively after he passed away.  Of course, there have been some other songs that became hits while their artists already passed away (namely SOS, Hold My Hand, Love Never Felt So Good), but these were all from artists that were legends while they lived. Even XXXTentacion's Sad, which became #1 on the Hot 100 after his passing was already a top 10 hit before.

But I guess his songs serve the "vibes" and catchiness the locals like and they couldn't care less about if the person who sung them was killed nine months ago.

Even if ROM is miles better the fact that Positons stayed at #1 on WW Spotify for twice the time as ROM yet people consider it a flop :rip:

since you mentioned PI, I found this old pic of her spotify monthly listeners today :rip:

it was at 5M pre PI and now she's at 42M, at least she has a huge improvement

I was thinking this too, after SC and Alejandro hit their benchmarks we’re not gonna have much to look forward too..we can get excited about MR, Bad Romance, Poker Face and ROM coming for 500M 

also Applause and BTW coming for 300M

The fact that even if she doesn’t move a finger next year she’ll have 6 songs with over 500M including 4 solo and 16 songs with over 200M despite debuting in the digital era and releasing less singles compared to most of her peers

Legend did that, 12+ years into her career etc
