I have updated the Guidelines here. Please take a look as I open this thread back up. I am going to give a pass to the fighting that happened earlier, but will consider everyone to have been warned and ready to receive points moving forward. We do not want people to attack one another, incite more fighting or to continuously drag artists. You don't have to agree with everyone. Who flops, who succeeds and everything the middle is subjective. None of us have all the numbers either. Some

lol yeah, just like they “chose” to invest in Katy for her witness era...like no Capitol paid for that deal and Spotify made it cause they’d get their return, now Capitol can’t pull that deal because Spotify won’t get their reinvestment? It’s all just shady background games...

Radio, the GRAMMYs, have all shown to be very shady and streaming positions/playlist reach is MOST LIKELY no difference and to think otherwise is delusion at this point.

100 WEEKS IN THE TOP 100

Shallow is now the 2nd female song in history after Lovely by Billie Eilish to pass 100 weeks+ inside the top 100 on Spotify WW. 

Lady Gaga is the ONLY ARTIST OVERALL from the 2000s to achieve this milestone.

Warner and Spotify are working to make Dua the next big thing. Would you consider this payola?

If so, should we classify SL music video as payola, and hence brush off Gaga's success on AM?

I hope they make Sour Candy a single in future with good playlisting support. It will be another song in her discography that will constantly be above 300K+ daily streams on spotify.

 

ROM alone won't be enough for Chromatica to have good recurrent streams

Speaking of payola (whose current form is more contractual, and under the sunlight than its sneaky parent who, back then till the '90, shamelessly Tidal'd artists' actual radio success)...

The way 911 is SLAYING Italian radios is kinda unexpected: any radio programmer loves it here, who would have thought :bradley:

ROM is even lucky to have stayed for so long in the Italian Spotify TOP 200, 911 was DOA streaming-wise :katy_pie:
