I don’t get how Folklore orignal album went from tanking at 3M to doing almost 7M daily with the documentary then doing 4M this Sunday even after Spotify Wrapped effect 

Her fans love to say she did ‘no promo’ when a promoted documentary on Disney + and 10000 alternative versions/signed CDs every week is way more than singing on TV in 2020  Even the week she sang Betty on a Wednesday the album didn’t rise at all but only the following week when she sold new signed CDs

Also mess at CardiGONE being at 175M on Spotify after almost 5 months

As much as some people are gonna say it doesnt matter bc shes an album artist, Cardigan is serving SL numbers. It had a much stronger debut in the US, that's right but then it had much more room to freefall for that reason.

Certain fanbases loved to use this excuse for songs and albums that were obviously promoted to be hits.  I lowkey thing some people on stan twitter actively want a song to get no promo so they can use this excuse. As you said, there much more effective promo tactics than tv performances in 2020.

I actually think that Taylor isn´t that much bigger than Gaga. Both Chromatica and Folklore performed the same way on streaming platforms (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.)

The only difference is that Taylor has a pretty big base of hardcore fans in the US and they buy everything she releases [~40k fans that buy every vesion of Folkore = ~800k pure sales].

Yeah Taylor just has a smart team (I mean she was Scooter’s client until Reputation) and is pretty  much chart/approval-obsessed herself which makes that she has had consistent numbers through her career compared to Gaga who had huge organic peaks in 2009-2011 and then in 2018-2019
