What is Interscopes obsession with Italy or France only singles :rip:

That’s how you build a GLOBAL career, like in the begging Gaga took off in Canada/Australia/Europe and then the US and the rest of the world followed

All of her France-only singles became at least moderate hits here, like Eh Eh or the Diamond smash ARUTW/Platinum hit INLA

I am seriously annoyed with the 911/CIII situation but i guess it taught us the lesson not to bulk stream gaga

smilega.thumb.jpg.eadef11ac2b7c75799482e

all those sleepless nights for nothing.. eye

was hoping for Global 200 only for nothing

sad

and 900 Album Units is probably enough for it to re-enter the Top30 of BB200

sad

Let's pray for GERMANY

where is the ASIB Platinum Cert??

and, can Chromatica scan Gold there at all or FRANCE stays winning?? :awkney:

In the spoiler is a detailed rundown about the most important features of German certifications. The most important is that Germany doesn't automatically update like France and UK. It's the same bullshit as in the US where you can wait for years and still only get a gold certification eventhough it's eligible for Diamond. Also, 50k in France vs 100k in Germany for certifications and 500k diamond in France 1M in Germany. You cannot compare them on this level.

Spoiler

I had a little talk with someone from GFK Entertainment today. GFK is the company that collects all data about music sales and more in Germany, it's basically like Nielsen in the US. I talked with them about certifications for albums/songs and how this all works in Germany and here are the results:

About certification guidelines:

- The label has to ask for a certification, there is no payment involved
- NO label is entitled to a certification
- Only the BVMI (the certification company) can give out certifications with legality, any other company that claims it can certify is wrong
- Only the official agency can give out the certifications and only when an external auditor has approved
- If the external auditor doesn't approve in the span of one year the certification is placed on hold until the label makes another move

About certification rules for albums/singles:

- physical albums (CD, MC, LP, DVD-Audio, SACD, DVD-Video, Blu-ray Video u. a.) as well as digital/downloaded albums
- only the 12 most streamed songs from an album count for an album certification
- the two most played songs streams will be reduced to the average of the following ten most streamed songs of an album
- only streams above 30 seconds count
- The conversion of streams to digital/pure sales for an album was 1000:1 until the 5th April 2018 and is 2000:1 since then
__________________________
- physical single formats (CD-Maxi-Single, CD-2-Track-Single, 17-cm-Vinyl-Single, 30-cm-Vinyl-Maxi-Single, DVD-Audio-Single, DVD-Video-Single u. a.) as well as downloaded tracks/ singles
- only streams above 30 seconds count
- The conversion of streams to digital/ pure sales for a song was 100:1 until the 5th April 2018 ans is 200:1 since then
