Still think Gaga not attending Academy Museum Gala yesterday was a big middle finger to Hollywood from her. 

All the big contenders for awards seasons were there. Kinda feel like her not showing up was meaningful in a way.

I saw a post where Joaquin Phoenix was present with his wife... maybe Gaga releasing this week didn't give her time to attend

She just wants the first time she appears somewhere after the hiatus to be for the lead single. Either online or in public.

Gaga not going to the Academy event last night is not big deal, it was expected that she would have not attended campaign events, there was no point for her to show up just to make a red carpet appearance. 

Joaquin attended, but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t happy to be there but now he’s not in a position anymore to play snobbish, after also the backlash over the movie he dropped he is in need to shake hands with executives in Hollywood.
