I think some of these traditional pop releases are hurting her overall streams. It's like a third of her discography atp.

I also feel like her AC / jazz stuff are making people a bit bored. She's very regular in that field so nobody's moving anymore imo. DWAS is mainly selling because of the very unexpected but working great collab side of the song.

I really hope LG7 will push her art further and shake a bit more the industry.

I wonder if the simpathy is a knife remix with ariana will be an actual threat for #1. Otherwise, DWAS should be able to enter the top 20

It could be some kind of payback for Joaquin's unprofessional behavior earlier this year. It seems like there was a shift after that happened, and JFAD could never pick up steam. When the trailer dropped the potential seemed huge.

It has definitely been a factor, when it happened I was very p*ssed because I knew it could have lead to backlash.

The flop is not entirely up to that situation of course, but on the AW board (that is checked also by pundits and movie bloggers) the thread was very long, the producers publicly complain on social media and it wasn't a nobody, it's a producer nominated at the Oscar with industry connection, lot of pundits were p*ssed especially because he never gave a valid exaplanation and at Venice he dodged the question which wasn't a good look.
