Todd sucks but Gaga talking sh!t about her crew only makes her more unhireable. She needs to be graceful about it and quietly move on. 

Directors need to be able to trust she won't sh!t talk them afterwards. Is it unfair he gets to throw her under the bus? Yes.

First movie was jazz / 1930s traditional pop heavily influenced. And to be honest most of Joker's musical moments in comics are very theatrical / jazz numbers as well. So yeah Joker Folie à Deux totally fits to the comics musical idea of a Joker movie.

This plus the fact Gaga's fave genre is still jazz. I'm 100% she signed mainly for this.

Zoom out a little, y'all. 

Gaga always wins in the end.  She has come back from far worse eras. This is nothing like the ARTPOP era when everyone was rooting for her to fail. 

Sure, people don't like the movie, but the people blaming her are a very small minority. The GP still likes her. Everyone has a flop or two. DWAS is smashing. LG7 is around the corner.

This. It's possible to reimagine Joker with rockier music but it wouldn't have worked in this franchise. They would need to start over.

Was it even confirmed to be a musical when she signed on? In that article, Todd suggested she had more dialogue before he had the idea to make it a musical.

chill, no one in this world has bigger fanbase than Taylor, commercially speaking she’s like the MJ of our generation. But she sacrificed a lot of things and her privacy is non-existing and that’s definitely not what Gaga wants

Gaga is an artist that always make risky choices for her arts, and that prevents her from being a national darling like Miss Taylor. The past few years had been rough to us but now is not the time to complain when she has DWAS, JFAD, Harlequin and LG7 ready for us. It’s not her fault that sometimes things don’t go as expected but she do what she can to make us satisfied.

People may get the idea that Gaga tried to backseat-direct and drove some of the creative decisions that make the movie underwhelming. This is the GP we're dealing with. Not the smartest people.

Well she had a script and she was rehearsing her musical numbers. This + the fact they teased the jazzy musical in the very first teaser from announcement post

He is saying you wanted that but that was Gaga and it didnt work. The narrative is that Gaga is good in the role and movie would be better with more of her. He is saying nah, what she did was bad for the movie
