On a different note, why are some of yall downplaying Gaga so much with Disease omfg at least lie to yourselves and believe she will do 8M. SL was a mediocre choice for a lead, leaked one month in advance and the mv was arse too yet it debuted with +5M

I dont think social media likes has that much impact but definitely does tell u enough to make a prediction i say 4M and #11 on spotify global is my prediction

It's been almost 5 years though and we have no real way of gauging the interest in a new Gaga lead single has she only released side projects in the meantime...

Sure! Half a decade has passed by but 

1- Spotify has grown since then 

2- She comes from riding DWAS success and Joker 2 hype and bombage 

3- We are yet to see how she builds up hype for Disease + no snippet nor visual were shown so far

SL debut number was extremely damaged because of the leak, the fanbase listened the hell out of the leak because we were thirsty for new pop music and after 2 months when the song was released we were tired of it not to mention the video didn’t help the song at all, sure it wasn’t her best song but still.

This is the first time we truly witness a lead single debut in the streaming era from her, not to mention with another song of her smashing (unprecedented as well), imo there are good chances of big numbers debut wise.

Tbh the Disease announcement is not doing bigger numbers because it’s not that eye-catching. We can’t see her face, there’s no Lady Gaga written on it, Disease is spelled backwards etc.

Hopefully she posts something more visually pleasing in the next tease.
