The lack of interest of GP. Lack of hits in the last decade. The try of rebranding her style that failed. And she is the definition of an issue of longevity. Add the fact she had backlash for returning working with sexual predator. They can say whatever they like but even if Gaga has her own fail moments, she achieved getting HUGE moments after 2013 : ASIB era, Superbowl Halftime Show, rebranding herself as vocal AC artist (TIHTY, Joanne, MR being a hit, Jazz with Tony...), big actress success, successful Vegas residency, cute pop hit moments with SL / ROM, smash tour with CBT, and now with big smash collab with Bruno Mars.
