Sorry, but if Gaga and her team thinks 50-90 year old songs are gonna perform like that they have another thing coming.

The thing is they don’t, they obviously want them to do well, but neither her nor the label ever suggest that. The fanbase is the one who obsesses over numbers, hence why it was released under ‘Lil Monsters LLC’ just like “Revelacion” by Selena Gomez was ‘SMG Music LLC’, they’re considered passion projects that Interscope must be greenlighting and pushing but with the intention of letting them do how they ever they must fare, they are passion projects by established artists in the streaming era to keep their name & goodwill going, and for the fanbase to enjoy.

A Popster Is Born 12,092

okay, i'm finally ready to share my thoughts on Harlequin  I know no one asked but

(i'm not gonna comment on the commercial performance, cuz that was expected)

Overall, it's an amazing album, not perfect, sure (there are some skips), but there are some huge stand-outs, so i still consider it better than C2C (which was my fave jazz album from her). I had an amazing time listening to it :prideheart:

My top 5:

1. The Joker
2. Get Happy
3. Close To You
4. That's Entertainment
5. Happy Mistake -> I definitely don't agree that it's her best ballad ever, but it's still a beautiful song

Honorable Mentions: Good Morning (I actually love it haha), That's Life, If My Friends Could See Me Now

Skips: World On A String and Smile (her One World rendition is miles better)

Not that anyone cares, but here's my updated top 10 Gaga Ballads:

Spoiler

1. Always Remember Us This Way
2. Die With A Smile
3. Shallow
4. Million Reasons
5. Hold My Hand
6. Is That Alright?
7. Dope
8. You And I
9. Till It Happens To You
10. Happy Mistake

I swear everytime there's a positive news or update about this movie, it gets debunked immediately after.

I believe that at least 99% of the people of this forum -including myself- did not expect harlequin to be a smash nor big numbers :billie:. It’s just that we’ve been riding the DWAS success wave that even if  we are aware of certain things it still is a bummer when you see her side project tanking and that’s without taking J:FAD into consideration (which we are yet to see its BO trajectory). Still got 2 intense weeks ahead so let’s hope for the best

No, we all expected that after listening to the album. Y'all just want a reason to meltdown when there really is no reason to do so. And y'all have also been warned to keep this thread free of meltdowns about Joker, that's why the other thread about the film was created. Vent your frustrations over expectations created by yourselves there.

You just need to chill cause no one is having a meltdown over harlequin tanking. It is what it is and there’s nothing wrong about venting about it. Period  :mess:

Just when JFAD IMAX screening are mostly sold out on premiere day, Typhoon is expected to hit Taiwan the exact same time :stopga:

Still pondering if I should go out and see the movie
