That's why people aren't buying that an album inspired by Harley Quinn, is full of jazz music.

It's just feels as if Gaga used the movie, as an excuse to release a Jazz album that she just wanted to release in one way or another.

That's why it doesn't feel authentic towards the character.

As I said I am watching the first Joker rn and Smile just played for like 40 seconds too. People didn’t realise how much music is prominent in the first movie. Also all classical tunes too

Joker is set in late 70s those classic tunes are the ones known between people back in the day when Liza Minnelli and Barbra Streisand were the main pop girls, they represent the songs that the characters are attached to, the first movie has indeed those songs played already.
