The vocals do sound a little processed but I would say its just an ugly reverb choice and not pitch correction

True, but have you seen that video of her performing Marry The Night in India?  It's an incredible song that I'm probably never going to hear her sing live in my life. The audience had a once in a lifetime moment and they were talking to each other loudly and treating her like a bar singer.   The arrangement with the sitar was also... 

That said, I'm glad for her more recent success with ballads in India (MR, Shallow, and hopefully DWAS).
