Well it's streaming time, there's some much music, in huge quantity and most of it don't click, huge artists included.

It's always a story of labels making the best moves to keep the music in the right playlists, capitalising the right trends and  right promo spots. That's mainly how Popular by The Weeknd and Madonna happened. Or Flower got HUGE.

 

Gaga is that type of artists that need big spots and promo to make her content live (not only Chromatica). Million Reasons underperformed beofre she made Superbowl. Bloody Mary was screaming some promo and attention from her and so on... Most of her projects which served longevity were just because she made huge promo for those in the first place

Visuals aren't something that elevates success these days but sometimes visuals are important to the aesthetics of the song 

So lets see first what kinda song she releases

n she might release the lead at fortnite festival (feb 22 to april 22, which is her time there) season 2 just like the weeknd did in season 1 festival

I just asked ChatGPT if it remembers when Interscope stopped promoting Selena’s My Mind and Me on the radio when Bloody Mary went viral (and I asked it respond like a witty gay man) and this is what I got:
