I think it's pretty obvious that C2C's success was due to a huge support from the fanbase to Gaga, because of the post-Artpop situation. And that lack of support from the fanbase is what explains why L4S flopped 2 years ago, despite Gaga having the GP on her side -unlike back then with C2C. So no, the GP doesn't know C2C, only the fans do.

And yes, Bloody Mary was huge, however it was not capytalized correctly by her team. That's why there's still people who don't know that BM is a Gaga song, since they only relate it to the speed-ups and the Netlix series.

The reason why C2C was big is because no one expected Lady Gaga to make an album like that and that too with a legend like Tony. It was a different kind of shock value. Fans only bought the album first week and made it #1, that’s like 10% of the album’s overall sales. L4S didn’t do as well because by then it had become a part of her brand. It wasn’t shocking anymore.
