I wonder if Gaga will go in the direction that Allie X is going with her new album Girl with No Face, which leaked. It's dark and poppy, but takes its influence from early 80s darkwave, and even late-70s post-punk, as well as the microgenre of coldwave. Another good album in this vein is Redcar by Christine and the Queens.
