Warner really knows how to promote their artists, hopefully Interscope can do better in Gaga's next era.

They know how to do it. It’s sometimes the artist who doesn’t want.

Dua is championed particularly by spotify for w.e reason, maybe she has a low skip rate etc. Stans always say 'but dua! her label' etc but she is a unique situation. A gaga song that debuted like DTN would've been removed from TTH in 4 weeks, this is what happened to HMH in some cases.

Gaga songs no matter what perform worse on average to others, Shallow is a monster hit and has some really shocking stats in terms of how long it was kept in playlists.

Eh, No. Dua's label is pushing her because they want to. Her Spotify's performance is, in a big part, not organic but clearly induced and forced by her label.  Just look at the playlisting and overall push that DTN has, despite a mediocre debut and being an underperformance until the movie came out.

I wonder if they still feel it's achievable with Taylor's gargantuan domination on spotify

Dua is not on the same Taylor’s level of domination but Dua has clearly the biggest global smashes and more than T on Spotify

something that Taylor can’t relate

Taylor could sustain her success only with the aid of her fans, Dua is a 2020s Katy situation

Yeah a new "investment" will come along eventually. We'll then see how much star power Dua actually has.

Same thing happened to Katy with YouTube.

she clearly has a special conneciton with spotify but they like her brand of pop and the fact there's no other female like her in the streaming era for consistent uptempo smashes that actually grow vs. free-fall. Not every song can be made a hit just from TTH, Dua's brand draws people in too, its not all just her label buying spotify (IMO)
