Born this way is packed with quality music and i won't be surprised if another track from it catches momentum and it deserves to be her most successful album and it would've been a lot bigger if it had commerial sound like 21 or red about love/heartbreaks but at the same time gaga being her own creative force makes her so much unique but it definitely effects her commerial power... speaking of ARTPOP it also have few bops which can catch momentum Joanne & chromatica meanwhile will never catch momentum bc chromatica is not good and joanne has a very geriatric tone to be gen z likings Id love to have some asib track gain momentum esp inla, is that alright? or i dont know what love is bc asib needs like 400k more streams to be charting on billboard 200 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

His Double Album spent over 85 weeks in the top 10, Midnights can't have broken that record. She just ended a 15-week streak at #1 for his new album with a vinyl release. Releasing consistently is very important in the streaming era, and they're all just on hiatus or selling make-up, leaving the entire playground for Taylor and Taylor alone. There really hasn't been a lot (or any) effort from her peers. Most are away from music, and even the ones that aren't like Beyoncé, Miley and Adele don't make an effort into promoting their eras at all. I agree PopGa outside TFM has bad longevity (Joanne could've been really big moment for her but it missed at least it will never be outstreamed by witness). even BM was classic Gaga huge peak then a free-fall - but with BTW, it was a tried and tested smash era which sold 7m copies. Chromatica wasn't exactly an on trend album when it came out I do question if it could ever happen for Chromatica to get decent streams, there so bad atm it would need a hell of a lot. You need to keep in mind that the grossing of tours have generally increased due to inflation after pandemic. Taylor might be the biggest popstar at this moment, but she is not bigger than Madonna or Michael Jackson back in 90s or even Gaga during 2008~2012, it's impossible to recreate that kind of global dominance in streaming era. You're not seeing every other artist breaking records left and right.
