"Hits Different": :ohhh:

"SBTB Extended": :whatga: (for a moment I thought the extension was going to make the song a 10 minutes one LMAO almost died but happy it's a normal one)

"Karma": it's the fvcking BOP of the album and the remix is not bad at all :applause: Even with the rap version song is still the same not an atrocious sh!t

Why do Monsters always need to be so hard on other artists releases when Gaga is in a blackout :enigma: Breaks between two eras are always unbearable on fan forums when Monsters are pressed their fave is not able to deliver anything when others actually do :laughga:

I don't think it has anything to do with Gaga taking a break and everything to do with the declining quality this year. Practically none of the big releases this year, of which there were few to begin with, were any good. We will soon reach the middle of the year and the music landscape so far has been barren. That's why every one is so focused on the Barbie soundtrack because it got some big names attached.

A poem

"Look at Me"

Look at me
Am I not human to you?
Does my nature intrude on some common thing you do?
Do you hurt because of me?
Because the opposite is true
I hurt because of your actions
That cannot be undone
And you dare to call this battle won
By your gallop of goons devoted to hatred
By your ignorance to senselessly innocent blood shed
By your callousness to those that call this country home
But they are not alone

I have my sisters' back
They have those of their brothers
You could learn quite a bit if you spent time with others
And you can spew hateful screed
Enact hateful deeds
Each one will plant a blossoming seed
That will bloom into the will of a new generation
To make a better nation

We can not live like this
Our children travel to uncertain futures every day
Ideally, we'd call it school
But we are not fools
They are not fools
They know your time is numbered
That hatred will not win
That we deserve love and comfort
In all spaces, in all skins
That there is nothing greater than the love for a child
And there is no greater loss when that bond is defiled

I cannot imagine it
That you'll come around
Just by the words I write here
That you'll hear that sound
And see the harm you're doing
And stop it for good
But what I can't do
Over half the country could

You will lose power
You will not occupy our thoughts
You will love what you lose
And what you lose will not
Be of any use to you
And you will never see
That you failed your people

And to my people:
America!
This country tis of thee!

Definitely not my case when I just posted an album from an other artist saying that I consider it the best album of the year and I would like Gaga to release an album like that.

I can make you other examples like the last Kali Uchis album...

Kelela has released another album that I consider a masterpiece this year, they're not popular-commercial artists, to me quality is more important.

My opinion on Katy, Dua, Taylor or other artists like those doesn't change based on Gaga being on hiatus.

Totally agree, that is why like I mentioned in my previous post I personally listen only to niche artists that release high quality music (for me at least) aside from Gaga since years at this point.

I think GodDUA can get a pass after releasing such a generic song since it's supposed to be a plastic-sounding for the "Barbie" soundtrack.

Not when one of the biggest pop music classics is a song about a Barbie.

Katy was definitely not bland during the start of her career. She became super bland with Prism.

"I Kissed a Girl" was pretty risky and controversial back then.

Also, some of her earlier lyrics were pretty edgy:

I hope you hang yourself with your H&M scarf
While jerking off listening to Mozart

 You change your mind
Like a girl changes clothes
Yeah you, PMS
Like a b*ch
I would know

Meh, her first era was definitely better and more interesting than the direction she went later, I'll give you that.

However I still find Katy and Dua music in general better than Taylor, the latter remains the definition of bland to me.

Doesn't the Barbie movie use a remix of this song?

Didn't she release like 10 albums during the last decade? She didn't have a single 40 hit? Wow.

Aphrodite in 2010 had "All the Lovers", which peaked at #12. Kiss Me Once in 2014, Golden in 2018, and DISCO in 2020 had no top 40 songs

Holy crap 2010 was 13 years ago
