So far*

Judging by its performance *so far*, it might have the longevity of BL and AIW, so don't be surprised when it spends the rest of the year in the top 10. I'm not saying that it will happen, but the fact that it will almost certainly match the top 3 weeks of such mega hits as "We Belong Together" and "I Will Always Love You" might give you a clue about its chart trajectory.

What's the record for most weeks in the top 3? Flowers might be there in a few weeks. It has so far spent 14 weeks in the top 3, so it might surpass WBT and IWALY if it serves more longevity. Considering that Kill Bill is falling fast on the radio, I don't see how it can compete with Flowers in the coming weeks.

*Not sure about HDIL since its chart history is not available on acharts.co. But I'm pretty sure that it should be at the top since it spent 25 weeks in the top 5, according to Wikipedia.

LeAnn Rimes - "How Do I Live" (1997) (?)
Whitney Houston - "I Will Always Love You" (1992)
16 weeks in the top 3
Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men - "One Sweet Day" (1995)
16 weeks in the top 3
Mariah Carey - "We Belong Together" (2005)
16 weeks in the top 3
Olivia Rodrigo - "Drivers License" (2021)
12 weeks in the top 3
Carly Rae Jepsen - "Call Me Maybe" (2012)
13 weeks in the top 3
Adele - "Rolling in the Deep" (2011)
13 weeks in the top 3
Lorde - "Royals" (2013)
11 weeks in the top 3
Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris - "We Found Love" (2011)
11 weeks in the top 3
Lady Gaga - "Bad Romance" (2009)
10 weeks in the top 3
Sia - "Cheap Thrills" (2016)
11 weeks in the top 3

19 weeks top 10...

Most songs don't even last 19 weeks in the top 100, not even speaking of top 50 :icant:

Because you can't re-buy a song again and again every week

Streaming skews a song's longevity, hence the penalty on the all-time chart

Hello is probably way beyond Diamond-eligible by now

BM did great! I'm happy

A peak into the Top 40 was a wish but at least made it into the Top 50

Streams did not help to have a better peak when song was peaking on Radio...

Longevity and Pop Radio stanning. I'm done. :shine:

Agree. BM had a great run and did so good! 🙌👏

what if It stays another week on the charts and arrives to 16 weeks?!? Let Hope!

There is no world where Shallow is Gaga's biggest song, and certainly no world where Gaga's biggest hit is smaller than anything by Camilla Cabello.

"Sorry," "Love Yourself," "What Do You Mean" and plenty of other songs from that period scored more than 20 weeks.

And you just chose to single out 3 songs that were heavily reliant on streaming instead of sales during that period :icant:

Thanks :icant:

So? They were released during the same period.

The methodology favours streaming for longevity, hence the "underwhelming :icant:" chart run

There's plenty of songs with impressive chart runs (20 weeks+) that were released before the streaming era. Just some of them:

"How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes - 32 weeks
"Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas - 30 weeks
"Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock - 29 weeks
"Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls - 28 weeks
"You Were Meant for Me"/"Foolish Games" by Jewel - 28 weeks
"Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden - 27 weeks
"Apologize" by Timbaland featuring OneRepublic - 25 weeks
"How to Save a Life" by The Fray - 24 weeks
"No One" by Alicia Keys - 24 weeks
"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith - 22 weeks
"The Way You Move" by OutKast featuring Sleepy Brown - 22 weeks
"Low" by Flo Rida featuring T-Pain - 22 weeks
"I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz - 22 weeks
"Yeah!" by Usher featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris - 21 weeks
"Fallin'" by Alicia Keys - 21 weeks

So, you are suggesting that Hello is bigger than Sorry because the latter was more reliant on streaming? "Sorry" and "Love Yourself" spent way more weeks in the top 10. They also stomped all over "Hello" on the year-end chart.

List of songs on Billboard's 2016 Year-End Hot 100 chart[2]
No. Title Artist(s)
1 "Love Yourself" Justin Bieber
2 "Sorry" Justin Bieber
3 "One Dance" Drake featuring Wizkid and Kyla
4 "Work" Rihanna featuring Drake
5 "Stressed Out" Twenty One Pilots
6 "Panda" Desiigner
7 "Hello" Adele
8 "Don't Let Me Down" The Chainsmokers featuring Daya
9 "Can't Stop the Feeling!" Justin Timberlake
10 "Closer" The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey
