It had Pacino, Driver, Salma Hayek and Jared Leto and an interesting story behind it. Imo it was pretty clear a few days after the premiere that the word of mouth was that the movie was so so but Gaga did amazing and people stuck around for her. I think it'll be hard, mainly because post-Covid it's very hard for movies to cross the 1 billion mark Just a random comparison in 2018/2019 : 15 movies crossed 1 billion. It's really up to the reception, if the musicals part will be perceived as a great addiction to the first one or if audience are not gonna like them, it's not that impossible reaching 1 Billion and even outdoing the first considering Gaga will bring a different audience as well giving an extra touch to the movie. However anything above +500M will be a box office success for this.
