Longevity and overall consumption is so much more important than a label getting a cheap #1 for a week. Maybe it’s because I’ve also gotten older but I just don’t find myself really caring and needing chart success. Like who cares if your song is #1 or #5 as long as people are singing it and loving it. f- the charts honestly, artists just release massive albums now for the stream and clicks.
