How else do you measure a hype for a next record then? Isn't it logical that a whole new audience that discovered Gaga's old music would also be looking forward to her new stuff?

Yeah - if they play their cards right they could make new music blow up thanks to tiktok. But that's IF they play it right and based on history, I don't see them knowing how to.
