Labels still have deals with Spotify to put a song there obviously, it might not work for old releases that suddenly go viral for the reasons I explained in my previous post, but it's blatant that there is a deal between labels and Spotify in order to put and keep a new song and release over there for a period of time.

Oh, I'm not referring to you specifically. It's just that we've had this conversation way too many times and the overall conclusion always seems to be "her team is trash or they should "support" (aka payola) Gaga", and I think that is not correct.

The fact that HMH wasn't added the week was released is absolute bullshit, it should have been there, I agree with that. Perhaps it would have been added if it wasn't released on a damn Tuesday ( ) and had that abysmal debut (understandably so, no playlists had it because they weren't updated). That way her team could have played with the "hype" card (like The Weeknd), but since the song had so little support, the curator was probably like... "BIG NOPE".

I remember their  response upon release 

my girl Hand was certainly not ASIB. I remember her catalogue seeing losses post release  and the oh so mighty’I ain’t worried’ got removed from some local hot hits cause of performance before the film  could come out  

But now look:  one is a playlist elixir Spotify smasha, and Hand is picking up critic wins towards Oscar’s and at least  finally grows with ARUTW/MR

But yeah,HMH could’ve had much better peaks closer to film TTH release.
