The highest songs on Pop Airplay that are 5 weeks old or less

#16 Flowers (1 week)

#18 Kill Bill (2 weeks)

#23 Bloody Mary (5 weeks)

Could BM be moving faster? Yes, it could be doing as good as Flowers or Kill Bill. But it isn’t.

Is BM moving slow on Pop radio? Absolutely not. Literally the opposite. It’s surrounded by a bunch of songs that are 10+ weeks old.

^This for real. People don’t seem to understand radio very well. Unless it’s a huge hyped smash hit out of the gates with a radio deal in place, it’s not going to magically zoom up the radio charts that fast. Radio growth is often very slow with the peak for audience and radio charts being weeks/months after a song was released or pushed. Bloody Mary is doing quite well for being an album track that went viral over 11 years later.

I love Chromatica, but Chromatica wouldn't have deserved a self-title. It needs to be organic, authentic, feature her widely as a songwriter and a producer, and be personal.

Born This Way and ARTPOP feel like her most authentic albums to me, musically. It doesn't have to sound similar to them, I'd just want her to put in that energy and that unabashedness. But lyrically, I'd prefer more Chromatica (like Alice, Fun Tonight, 911, Replay). 

And yes, I want ballads too. Less Brown Eyes or 1000 Doves, more Yoü and I, Dope, Speechless, Shallow, and TIHTY.
