most of the people in the room are Academy voters not part HFPA (that only compromises of like only 200+ body critics group - it’s also the reason why the show has been known for “buying”/“gifting” the award itself)

I guess it just depends what you would define as 'generic'. To me, generic doesn't necessarily mean it's just copying another song. It means that it sounds way more sanitized and ready to sell. Which is the purpose of her music ultimately, so I can't fault her for that. I will say Sour Candy is sampling a very popular (and overly sampled) track, so even then there is some things on there that do feel like replicas. Another thing is that playlist that Gaga x Bloodpop posted that was suppose to *hint* at what Chromatica was going to sound like. A lot of the tracks on here have a more interesting (for lack of a better word) sound than Chromatica. Then again, this could have just been another thing Bloodpop did on his own and it's just music he likes, but he is the executive producer of the album so...
