I remember Melanie Martinez’s stans were upset because the song could have entered the Hot 100 but it never did because, if I recall correctly, it had to be #50 onwards because it was a song older than X amount of years (I don’t remember the number). Can someone confirm this?

There's some rules for songs that went recurrent to re-enter

But i believe BM can enter even at no.100 because it didnt chart before

Die For You by the Weeknd, also charted in 2016, fell off and now re-entered at #71

 

That is the problem, Billboard is inconsistent about this stuff
