It's sent to radio, that's why they are playing it in the first place. They aren't allowed to play it without it being delivered to them. It's probably being tested at the moment. Radio impact date doesn't mean much, it's more of a promo to motivate other stations to add it and labels usually don't do them in December because it gets drowned in Christmas songs. Currently there are 0 impact dates lined up for example.

Not when it comes to lead singles because radios are going to play it anyway, but for the rest, it means a lot as it encourages smaller radio stations to get on board and that's important for the song to keep growing on the radio in case big radio stations start to spin it less often in the future.

That's what I said. Song needs to be sent to radio for it to receive airplay and impact date is promotion of it which is generally avoided during holidays season because it would go to the waste
